A Passion for Learning...
For years Mark Sheehan worked in the field of education--first as a college professor, then as director of an experimental high school, then on school boards and finally as a training director for high level wellness and accelerated learning programs.

Health and Personal Development...
In 1977 he organized a major wellness conference featuring Andrew Weil and Hawaiian healers. After that he worked to establish health programs in the visitor industry. It was these experiences that led him into real estate with the goal of helping people realize their visions of health and spiritual retreats.

A Fresh Approach to Real Estate...
With this goal in mind, Mark created Landmark Maui Properties. Designed as an alternative to the franchises, Landmark would focus on enhancing and re-humanizing the experience of Real Estate.

Smart Growth - Protecting the 'Aina
Mark has been guided by one other passion--protecting Maui's precious environment. Almost 25 years ago he worked with SPAM--a small group devoted to preserving Makena beach as a state park. He was a founding member of Maui Tomorrow, was its president for many years and is still on the board of directors. Maui Tomorrow has championed environmental preservation, smart growth and social equity in development.
