Rajita was born in Ontario, Canada, where she grew up in a musical family, with her father an historian and her mother active in residential real estate. She came west to San Francisco to finish college and her love for service work and eastern philosophy led her to India to work for an internationally-based charitable organization.

She’s been a convention planner and logistics coordinator, set up a 10,000 book library and really enjoys working with people. She is gifted in Feng Shui and is also a classically-trained flutist.

Rajita chose to live on Maui because it fit so many of the ideals she wanted to uphold, and in Haiku to be closer to nature. She loves to take walks on the beach, hike in the Crater, dance, practice yoga and spend time in the ocean. She is also a member of the board of the Laakea Foundation, an organization that helps developmentally disabled adults on Maui.

Rajita is also a member of Haiku's Team of Choice.
